Welcome to Riseland Llama Farm. We are a small (sometimes called mini) farm in the foot hills of Northern Georgia about 1 ½ hours north of Atlanta, see Map.
In 1998 we decide to purchase our first llamas. Up to that point our lives were completely wrapped around our career's. Sam a realtor and Frank a professional boat captain. Our friends and family would ask, “Why llamas?” Our answer was always “Why not llamas!” The truth is we really did not know “Why llamas”.
We knew almost nothing about llamas but we had received our first “llama kiss” and we knew we were in love and had to have “JUST A COUPLE!” We started reading, talking to llama owners and attending a few classes and made our first purchase. To learn more about us please visit our About Us page. To learn more about llamas in general please visit llama facts page.
Our Herd currently numbers over 20 and our Llamas for Sale include both show quality and pet quality animals.
Animal people will understand that the more you fall in love with one kind of animal the more likely it is you will fall in love with other types of animals. Our farm has grown over the years. Our first addition to the llamas was a pet goat, then Great Pyrenees to watch over our herd. Next Frank “found” Miniature Donkeys. Frank’s “children” follow him all around the pasture, even if he is driving his Chuck Wagon or lawn mower. They have just the sweetest personality you will ever find.
To assist you in your llama education we have included information about llamas Assoc & Publications as well as Interesting Links to other llama and miniature donkey web sites.
As avid RV’ers we encourage other RV’ers to Visit a Llama Farm and learn first hand what a “llama kiss” is.
We encourage you to tell us what you think about our web site or to answer your questions or just become friends. Please visit our guest book page. |
